Crowns and Bridges

Crowns and bridges are dental restorative devices used to restore or replace damaged or missing teeth. They serve different purposes and are commonly used in dentistry to improve oral health and aesthetics. Here’s an overview of crowns and bridges:

Dental Crown: a tooth-shaped cap that is placed over a damaged or weakened tooth to restore its shape, size, strength, and appearance. Crowns are typically used when a tooth has extensive decay, a large filling, a fracture, or after root canal therapy to protect and strengthen the tooth.

Dental Bridge: This is used to replace one or more missing teeth by bridging the gap between adjacent teeth. They are restoring the chewing and speaking functions, improving the facial appearance and smile aesthetics and preventing adjacent teeth from shifting out of position.
